I'm trying to learn javascript to make upgrades to my website that the builder doesn't support, and I'm running into problems. And it's a pretty basic problem, too. Is someone familiar with javascript and willing to help me out?
Right now my question is searching an array. The command I'm using now is coming back as "undefined", when I think it should be kicking back a number. If you think you can help, shoot me a message.
For basic code stuff, I find myself referring to the w3schools website most often because it has "Try it yourself" examples that one can edit and play around with. Here's a primer on arrays from there: http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_arrays.asp

Hope that helps!
I found them, and I was able to get past my specific problem. Now, I've just run into the problem that the hosting site doesn't support javascript.
That makes no sense, because Javascript runs on the client's browser. Do you mean they won't let you add Javascript to your web-pages?
Are you on one of those hosts that won't let edit your files and FTP them to the server? I hate being restricted like that. You should consider a "real" hosting option.
Looking at your site, I see that you are using "Starfield Technologies; Go Daddy Website Builder 7.0.5350". You would need to upgrade your hosting or move your site to another host.
BTW: The URL of your web-site in your UMD profile includes Shop.htm which is a nonexistent page. You may want to update that.
Yeah, I am becoming less impressed with GoDaddy everyday. Version 6 supported a couple of features that Version 7 no longer does. So much so, that when I upgraded to version 7, out of necessity, because they were discontinuing support for Version 6, I was quite dismayed.
Have you considered a full site rebuild, if you own the hosting domain you can use other builders rather than go data which are far easier to maintain/aid in making you visible in google

I don't look forward to the idea of rebuilding my site. I have purchased the domain name. I use Wix to host my Splatter Island Passport site, and I like their UI better. It's also easier to sign in. I'm considering moving my site to Wix when renewal comes back around, but that isn't until 2018.
I have questions about things like email. I have godaddy supporting my business email, and would another hosting site support the same email address? Would I need to keep my godaddy email?
If your email address is something like user@godaddy.com or address@subdomain.godaddy.com, then it's tied to godaddy. If however it's based on your own domain name then any ISP can host it for you - decent ones will give you total control and unlimited addresses @your-domain.com.
I'm only starting out in video production myself but I'm a qualified web developer so I'm not too sure where to point you. If you arnt confident with web development I'd suggest a wp site. I can usually rack up a site to display first page of Google using wp in around 3 days so I'd advise you look into it
Obviously I can't help with a very generalized javascript problem but it would seem your principle concern now is finding a good host
Although our main wam sites are now closed, I designed, built and ran them for well over a decade and can say that good hosting is paramount. Switch now.
Two weeks after I opened our first site (wetandmessyfetishgirls 2002) which I had hosted on an England based server, the DHS warranted them and wheeled all their servers out the back door claiming Sadam's grocery list might be on one of them. My site was gone and I couldn't even access my domain name. After getting over the frustration of having my brand new site and domain name stolen with no reference to when, if ever, I would get them back I decided to create a second site, bought a new domain name (wamfetishgirls) and re-upped the content. Eventually I got access to the first domain and spawned that into a sister site. Of course during that time I did some serious shopping for a reliable host for Adult content.
After considerable research I found Uncensored Hosting run by a great guy named... Gus. Been with him ever since.
As you can probably ascertain from the name, Adult content is most welcome there and he's based in the US.
In my years with Gus he has never taken longer than an "hour or two" to respond to my emails at any time of the day, night or weekend, no shit! He provides Linux Hosting Servers shared or dedicated, along with the very latest security features, php and scripts, updating them constantly. Truth is I've been so impressed with Gus and his pricing through the years that I have been reluctant to expose him to ah... competitors but like I said, our sites are closed now and all our material is only available through the UMD Store system. I still keep my servers with Gus for my other projects though as his pricing is competitive even against "non adult" hosting packages.
I honestly don't think you'll find better pricing or service for Adult content anywhere!
I don't have any affiliation with Gus but if you mention "wetandmessyfetishgirls" he'll know where you're coming from and I might get a free coffee one day or a discount on my tab, he likes to do that
